Check the roll-up is straight

  1. Run the blind up and check it rolls up nice and straight, with a parallel line at the top.
  2. Leave about three fingers of gap at the very top — the blind needs a bit of a start to run back down.
  3. If it winds to one side, use the masking-tape trick on the tube to even the roll up.

The blind rolls up crooked.

Add a couple of pieces of masking tape to the tube on the side with the bigger gap to build up the diameter so that side winds up more. Getting the roll straight makes the bottom seal evenly.
