Full light-leak check
- Close the blind and check the room for any light leaks around the top and sides.
- For little pin pricks, trim a piece of chenille stem and tuck it in wherever the light shows.
- For a line of light along the bottom, tuck a chenille stem in there — you might loosen the side track a little to get it under, then sit it back down. Don't reset the whole thing.
- Give it a final test run, fingers near Stop, and it's ready to go.

What do I do about small light leaks?
Trim a chenille stem and tuck it into any pin prick or edge line. For a bottom light line, loosen the side track slightly, tuck the stem under, and re-seat it.
How dark should the room actually be?
After 5 minutes of dark adjustment your eyes pick up edge leaks. The goal is no visible light from a closed-door distance.
If you hit a snag
Continuous bright line at the bottom.
Loosen the bottom side-track screw, run a chenille stem along the edge, retighten. The most common fix.
Edge leak at one corner only.
Trim a short chenille stem and tuck it into that corner; the pile seal compresses it as it beds in.
