How professional installation works

Enquiry to install, end to end. Free in-home measure, written quote with no obligation, then manufacture, install, motor setup and walkthrough.

The short answer

Professional installation is a five-step process: send an enquiry, book a free in-home measure visit, receive a written quote, your blinds are manufactured, then the team installs, pairs the motor and walks you through use.

Installation is available across key metro service areas including Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. The free measure visit has no obligation — if the quote doesn't suit, that's where it ends. To start, call 1300 622 546 or use the Free Measure & Quote form.

The five steps

Send your enquiry

Tell us your suburb, the rooms you're considering, and a rough window count. The form takes a couple of minutes. We confirm whether professional install is available in your area, and if anything looks unusual (very large windows, heritage frames, sliding doors), we'll flag it early. If you're outside the install service area, we'll route you to DIY or a partner pathway. No pressure either way.

Free in-home measure visit

An installer comes to your home, measures every window properly, and talks through fit and motor options. This is where window suitability is confirmed in person — reveal depth, obstructions, mount surface, motor location, and whether a single or dual blind suits each opening. Bring up specific concerns at this stage (heritage windows, awkward angles, smart home plans) — it's the right time to discuss them. The visit is free and there's no obligation to proceed afterwards.

Written quote

You receive a written quote with exact dimensions, fabric and motor options, and the total price. Review at your pace — there's no pressure to sign on the day of the measure. If anything in the quote needs explaining or adjusting (different fabric, fewer windows, SmartHub add-on, staged install), ask and we'll re-quote. Once you're ready to proceed, the order goes through.

Manufacture

Your blinds are made to the exact dimensions captured during the measure visit. We'll confirm timing in your quote based on your specific job — manufacturing time varies by product, size and location, so we don't quote a blanket timeframe. You'll get an update when your blinds are ready and the install team will book in a fit date.

Install, motor setup and walkthrough

The install team fits the brackets, side tracks, pelmet, blind and bottom rail, then pairs the motor with the remote and sets the upper and lower limits. If you've ordered SmartHub, they'll help connect it to your Wi-Fi and walk you through app setup. Before they leave, they run the blind up and down with you, demonstrate the remote channels, and answer any questions about charging and use.

Before you call

Three things that make the process smoother

Have your suburb and rough window count ready

Knowing your suburb tells us straight away whether install is available in your area. Rough window count (just count the windows you want done, no measurements needed) helps us scope the measure visit.

Flag specific concerns up front

Heritage windows, motor location concerns (especially if you want the motor on a specific side), smart home plans, sliding doors, bay windows. Mention them when you enquire — the installer comes prepared and the measure visit moves faster.

Ask about lead time at the measure visit

Manufacturing and install timing varies by location and product. The right moment to get a realistic timeframe is at the measure visit, once we know the exact spec. Don't expect a blanket answer before then — it depends on what you're ordering.

Don't pre-buy anything

You don't need to buy brackets, fixings, smart home gear or anything else in advance. Everything for the install comes with the order. SmartHub, remotes and any specific accessories are quoted at the measure visit.
