Warranty, returns and the 100% money-back guarantee

What's covered, how returns work, and what to do if something arrives damaged or develops a fault. Every blind is covered by a 2-year warranty.

The short answer

MAB offers a 100% Money-Back Guarantee. Final return conditions, freight responsibility, timeframe and what counts as a valid return are confirmed at order.

Every blind is covered by a 2-year warranty. If you have an issue, contact us with photos and your order details and we’ll work through it with you.

If something needs attention

What to do

  1. 01

Don't unpack any more than you need to

Keep the original packaging, foam inserts and any documentation. Returns and warranty claims are much easier when the product is repacked the way it shipped.

  2. 02

    Photograph the issue

Clear photos of the damage, fault or problem — and a wider shot showing the product in context. If the carton itself was damaged in transit, photograph that too before opening.

  3. 03

    Find your order details

Order number, the email used to place the order and the date it arrived. Having these ready speeds up the response.

  4. 04

    Contact us early

Call 08 8359 5935 or email support with the photos and order details. The earlier you flag it, the more options we have — particularly for transit damage.

  5. 05

    We'll confirm next steps

We'll let you know whether it's a return, a replacement part, a warranty repair or a service visit. Freight responsibility, timeframes and any conditions are confirmed in writing before anything moves.

Make it easier

A few things that help

  • Keep packaging until you've installed

Don't bin the carton, foam ends or any protective wrap until the blind is up and you've tested it. If you need to send anything back, original packaging makes a big difference.

  • Photograph damage straight away

Take photos before you do anything else — the carton, the product, the fault. Dated photos taken on the day of delivery are the strongest evidence for a transit-damage claim.

  • Get in touch sooner rather than later

Flag issues as early as you can after delivery — ideally within the first couple of weeks. The longer the gap between delivery and reporting, the harder it is to confirm what happened.

  • Keep your order confirmation

The order confirmation email has your order number, the spec you ordered and the date. Save it somewhere you can find it — you'll need it for any warranty or return claim.

  • Don't try to fix it yourself first

If something looks wrong with the motor, the brackets or the blind itself, contact us before pulling it apart. DIY repairs can affect warranty cover.

Covered, not covered, and how to claim

  • Change-of-mind returns sit outside the standard guarantee — these are made-to-measure products, so they aren't restocked. Get in touch with your order details and we'll talk through what's possible. Final return conditions are confirmed at order.
  • Manufacturing defects are covered under the 2-year warranty. Contact us with photos of the issue and your order number — we'll confirm whether it's a replacement part, a full replacement or a repair. Exact defect terms are confirmed at order.
  • The motor is the most common warranty question. If it stops responding, won't charge, or behaves erratically, contact us. We'll run through a few troubleshooting steps first (it's often a remote pairing or charging issue), then organise warranty support if needed.
  • It depends on the reason for the return. Warranty issues, manufacturing defects and transit damage are handled differently from change-of-mind. Freight responsibility is confirmed at order and in writing once we've reviewed your case.
  • Once we've confirmed your return in writing, approved returns go to our warehouse: 1/9-15 Arcoona Rd, Salisbury Plain SA 5109. Don't ship anything back before we've confirmed the return and freight arrangements — otherwise it can slow the whole thing down.
  • Sooner is always better. Transit damage is easiest to resolve when it's flagged on arrival. Warranty issues should be reported as soon as you notice them. Exact reporting windows and warranty duration are confirmed at order.
  • The 100% Money-Back Guarantee is our commitment to make it right if the product doesn't deliver what was promised. Final terms — what qualifies, the timeframe, and freight handling — are confirmed at order.
  • The product warranty is the same. Professional install adds workmanship cover for the install itself. If you're not sure which applies to your order, give us a call on 08 8359 5935 and we'll confirm.
  • No. Our warranty and guarantee sit alongside your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law — they don't replace them. If a fault would entitle you to a remedy under ACL, that pathway is always available regardless of our voluntary cover.
