EVERYDAY

Daily use and scheduling

Pick the controls that match how the room actually gets used. Most people land on a schedule plus a single override button.

Step by step

How it works

  1. 01

    Set a baseline schedule

Most bedrooms run two events a day. Close at sunset minus thirty. Open at the time you'd like the wake-up light. Sunset-relative scheduling adjusts with the season. A fixed 7pm close drifts wrong by July.

  2. 02

    Add an override

Daytime nap, movie afternoon, mid-week early night. Overrides happen. Set a remote button or a smart-home routine to close everything in one tap.

  3. 03

    Tune for the season

Open earlier in summer to dump heat through the morning. Close earlier in winter to hold the room's warmth before sunset.

  4. 04

    Test the blackout

Stand inside the room mid-morning with the blind closed. Light leaks are easy to see when your eyes adjust. Adjust the side tracks if light pulls through at an edge. See the light leak article.

Common questions

  • Confirm the hub's time zone in the app. A common edge case: setup completed while on holiday, time zone stuck on the old one.
  • Most apps support a one-tap pause. If yours doesn't, just trigger the opposite event manually. The blind always obeys the most recent command.
