CARE
Fabric and frame care
Light maintenance keeps the fabric flat and the tracks running clean. A few minutes every few months is all most installs need.
Step by step
How it works
- 01
Fabric
Dust with a soft microfibre cloth top to bottom. For light marks, use a damp cloth with cold water and no detergent. Avoid anything alcohol-based or solvent-based. They strip the blackout layer.
- 02
Side tracks
Dust collects at the bottom of the tracks where the fabric stops. A soft brush attachment on a vacuum, low suction, clears it in seconds. Once a quarter is plenty.
- 03
Head rail
The head rail is mostly out of sight, but a quick wipe with a dry microfibre cloth keeps it clean and dust-free.
- 04
Bottom rail
If the bottom rail rests on a sill, a wipe along its underside every few months stops dust building up between the rail and the sill, which can cause a thin light leak over time.
Common questions
- Cold water and a soft cloth, patted not rubbed. Marks that resist are usually surface dust pressed in. Repeat passes work better than scrubbing harder.
- No. The fabric panel is bonded to the blackout layer and won't survive a wash cycle. Spot cleaning only.
